Felicia Tang, born Felicia Lee on 22 October 1977, was killed on 11 September 2009 at her apartment in Monrovia, CA. Her live-in boyfriend, Brian Randone, was arrested and charged with her death after police found the victim. The police were notified by Randone when he called 911 to state that his girlfriend was not breathing.
Randone was held in jail, pending release on a $2-million bail. He was charged with torture and murder. According to authorities, Tang was beaten, over 300 wounds of various sizes and types covered her body, and she was smothered. There was no history of domestic violence between the two in the months they were together.
Tang, 31, had a career outside pornography, as an extra in blockbuster films and a model. At the time of her death she was obtaining her real estate license.
During the trial, the medical examiner reported that Tang died from asphyxiation but had high levels of drugs in her system, including cocaine and GHB. It’s been noted GHB can depress breathing. Tang was a recreational user of GHB, a bottle of the drug was near her body on the nightstand. The defense suggested Tang died from asphyxiation caused by the GHB and not foul play. The prosecution contends that Randone forced Tang’s face into a pillow during a fight, causing blunt force trauma and asphyxiation. GHB played no part in her death.
On 9 December 2011, the jury found the Moody Bible Institute graduate, former minister, and reality television star guilty on all charges.
